I do have zero interest in upgrading my native instruments and izotope stuff ever again. Cubase 10, for sure will not run 32 bit plugs anymore. From other discussions here, I see that other people have older plugs that are having trouble running in some newer versions of DAW. I think it has to do with a 30+ track CD I put together, as I created a one track cd and did not have the problem.īoth the native instruments and izotope plug sets have 64 bit plugs, so I expect them to operate for a good long time. I submitted a crash report to PG and I am hopeful that a fix for my particular cd burning wavelab elements issue will be resolved in the near future. If I needed the umpteenth bit of whatever, I am sure Ozone would run in it as well. Having said that, for my own anticipated use of wavelab, I would be satisfied with that cute little built-in mastering suite that it comes with. Since I have cubase 10 and native instruments and izotope plugins that run ok with cubase, I presume they would run in wavelab as well. Oh well it is a GREAT program and it just needs to have some of the long standing problem solved. PG keeps saying it is the plugin developer's problems but if the plugins work with other DAWs why is it such a problem for WL?

I don't know if it is an internal problem with Steinberg or if WL is getting too complex but it seem like more and more plugins don't work with it. I go back all the way to WL 1.6.2 in 1996 when it became my DAW of choice. It also has limited MIDI controls and one cannot automate plugins - both of which have been asked for by many people. However lately WL seems to be having all types of problems with plugins. Wavelab 10 ha still a lot of problems especially with some plugins by Acustica Audio Wavesfactory and some other software houses.Diamond Lift2 in vst2 format (vst3 not available) by Acustica Audio still makes Wavelab 10 crash.Even Wavelab 9.5.40 and 9.5.50 have big issues with some old Acustica Audio plugins. The issue is on steinberg side.Due to the fact that i work exclusively in the box and i use a lot of AA plugins i've reverted back to Wavelab 9.5.15 where everything works perfectly without any issue.I hope that the big promised fix fro Wavelab 10 will solve a lot of problems.I think PG, the creator of WL, is the best, I also love WL for what it can do.
